2013/2014 Writing Contest Winners

Congratulations to the winners of the second annual WNBA Writing Contest – Gayle Towell for her fiction entry, “Uncertainty;” and Rebecca Olander for her poetry entry, “Late October Light.” Check out all the winners on our national website contest page.

Writing Pen and PaperOnly online submissions are accepted. Work must be unpublished.

Fiction 2,500 word limit – short fiction only; no novel excerpts or memoirs. Poetry: 3-5 pages maximum.

Upload entry without name, address, or contact information on the actual document. Contact information will be collected on a separate form when the entry is submitted. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

More than one entry can be submitted; however, each one must be separately submitted and paid. Acceptable formats are: Word Document 2007, Word Document 2003 or earlier version, RTF (Rich Text Format).

The WNBA will be reviewing submissions for their first annual Writing Contest. After years of celebrating published authors, extraordinary book women, and others in the field, we have decided it is time to celebrate emerging writers. Please send only your highest caliber work.
