Holiday Dinner Sign-up

Please join us on Thursday, December 7, for our annual Holiday Dinner celebration for our members and their guests. The dinner will be at Carraba’s Italian Grill, Green Hills Mall and will begin at 5:30 p.m. Our guest speaker will be Davidson County Historian, Carole Bucy discussing Tennessee Women in 1917. For more information, please visit our Holiday Dinner page.

Upcoming Events for 2016-2017

bookem-2015-logoAs we all know, the Southern Festival of Books is right around the corner (October 14-16). We are already working on some great events for the upcoming year. 

  • Sip and Sort for Book’em: We have tentatively scheduled a “Sip and Sort for Book’em” at their offices (NPT) from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, November 10. Email Alice Sanford if you would like to help. Those that have participated in Sip and Sorts in the past state that they are FUN!’
  • WNBA Holiday Party: Thursday, December 1, 2016. We have a new location this year, more details to come!
  • Women in Literature:  We are also planning to celebrate WNBA’s centennial with a Women in Literature event on March 18, 2017. If you are interested in volunteering, please email Barbie Chadwick. Barbie has challenged all Nashville Chapter Members to pledge $15 to support this event.

Our annual Holiday Dinner is December 5 at Nero’s Grill, 2122 Hillsboro Drive, Nashville. The dinner starts at 5:00 p.m. with our guest speaker Becca Stevens, named by the White House as one of 15 Champions of Change, speaking about her latest book, Snake Oil: The Art of Healing and Truth-Telling. You’ll also be able to take care of some of your holiday shopping. Representatives from Thistle Farms will be there with some of their products. The cost is $35 per person, which includes a donation of $5 for scholarships for the Tennessee Young Writer’s Workshop. You can pay online using either PayPal or a credit card using the Holiday Dinner Registration Form located under the Programs and Activities tab. Or you can send a check to Beth Frerking at PO Box 172, Cunningham, TN 37052.
